Vital Transit Services Ltd. was established in 1978 providing a much needed transportation service to Winnipeg's disabled community. The company started with a few wheelchair accessible vehicles and have grown continuously over the years by offering quality service to the point where we currently operate a fleet of over fifty vehicles including school buses and comfortable charter and shuttle vehicles - some with wheelchair capacity.
We have forty-six years experience in providing very specialized services including school transportation, charter service, corporate shuttles, and government sponsored contracts such as Family Services and Winnipeg Shared Health adult day programs.
Vital Transit is a family run operation and was founded on the principals of integrity, honesty and compassion for our clients. These principals are shared by our management team and are passed down to all employees.
At Vital Transit we recognize the diversity of the multi-cultural community in which we operate. We also recognize that we operate in the homeland of the Anishinaabe (Ojibwe), Ininew (Cree), and Dakota peoples, and in the National Homeland of the Red River Metis.
Vital Transit's fleet includes over thirty school buses, some equipped with hydraulic wheelchair lifts and some with luggage capacity for longer trips.
the company's fleet of charter and shuttle buses include those with the capacity of twenty-nine ambulant persons and two wheelchairs. Other charter buses can be configured to hold up to five wheelchairs. All charter buses are air conditioned for your comfort.

Vital Transit's management team shares over one hundred years of combined experience in the passenger transportation field.
The company's drivers have a minimum class 2 license and most have school bus certification. All are trained in safety protocols, first aid, non-violent intervention, emergency equipment use and emergency evacuation procedures.
